  • 3 years minimum experience in project management
  • Strong communicator, with excellent written, verbal and listening skills, who is able to build
    successful relationships
  • Critical thinker who is resourceful and willing to adapt and seek the best solution to a problem.
  • Project confidence and can navigate questions and challenging situations on the spot and can provide solid
    rationales for recommendations made throughout the project.
  • Familiar with common best practices in relation to website design and development, SEM, SEO and other
    digital marketing tools (email and social media).
  • Experienced with running projects of all sizes, confident with various project management methodologies and
    making project plans.
  • Able to take ownership of increasingly complex projects with minimal guidance.
  • You enjoy seeing a project through from start to finish, solving problems, and shepherding your developers
    through the timeline.
  • Detail-oriented and has a knack for predicting issues before they arise.
  • Epitomizes collaboration and has experience briefing and working with design, digital optimization
    (SEM & SEO) and development teams.
  • High proficiency with MS Office and other presentation tools
  • Knowledge of common web CMS, like WordPress preferred with basic editing capabilities
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Tag Manger and Search Console is an asset.

You will work on:

  • You will be the leader for the creative, optimization and development teams, managing all the moving parts in the process for end-to-end website builds and digital marketing projects.
  • As a member of Client Services team, you will work closely with a variety of people across the organization, including designers, developers, marketing, editorial, optimization strategists and account managers.
  • Follow the scope of project – going from the proposal stage, to the technical work up, and finally to the delivery of the final product.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand client needs, while keeping the project process, client expectations and team capabilities in mind.
  • Build long term relationships with clients and maintain regular communication based on the expectations and needs of the project and budget.
  • Conscientiously manage project budgets and timelines while meeting objectives, producing quality deliverables.
  • Generate periodic project status reports to be presented to clients; detail data, tasks and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and technologies in project management, digital marketing along with
    optimization and analytics.

Freelance Writer

Location: Home-based

The freelance writer will contribute to and support the content of the Issues Ink Media properties – both print and digital (website and newsletters) as well as completing content assignments for our customer facing arm CREATE by Issues Ink. This includes but is not limited to story pitches, research, writing and proofing. The ideal candidate will possess web-writing experience, be able to produce multiple articles per week and consistently meet deadlines. The candidate should be able to conduct the research necessary to produce accurate, informative pieces.

This role will report to the editors of our seed- and potato-focused properties. We strongly encourage our freelance partners to engage in a two-way dialogue with our editorial team with the goal of building mutually beneficial partnerships.


  • Experience in agriculture journalism – preference given to writers with seed and crop production knowledge

Digital Sales Representitive

Digital Media Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Issues Ink’s suite of digital seed media and services:


A consultative sales approach is critical to success as well as an ability to follow a well-defined sales process as our DMSR will work with the entire sales and marketing team to identify strategic approaches to expand our client base and identify new opportunities.

Keen focus on opportunity identification and presentations while understanding that planning and research are critical to selling success is a must.


• Aggressively prospect, develop, and close leads using a variety of sources

• Work directly with businesses to discuss and understand their needs and then develop customized solutions to drive leads to their business

• Own the entire sales process from prospecting to completion of the sale

• Prospect into multiple organizations via cold-calling, networking, e-mail/e-marketing, and utilizing Internet information sources

• Articulate the Company’s value proposition to decision-makers to assess buying interest. Promote advertising and marketing solutions with various management levels and professionals in the agriculture industry

• Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call

• Develop superior customer service relationship with prospects

• Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Issues Ink’s key properties – and clearly articulate benefits and advantages to prospective customers

• Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance and data entry, correspondence, and communications)

• Utilize Sales Force CRM to maintain and enhance client relationship

• Proactively continue company product and competitive product and market knowledge via website, on-line webinars, and training information

• Social Media Monitoring: Engaging with social media platforms, creating alerts on keywords, researching topics and sharing information with individuals responsible for marketing and advertising within their company
